Painting
kleindorf ART is pleased and honored to have Birgit Schiemann offering her two painting workshops as part of our summer 2013 program. Birgit divides her time between the Berlin art scene and Wendland, an area of Germany between Berlin and Hamburg known for its many artists and off-beat residents.
In her "BASICS" painting course, participants will spend time with Birgit exploring four different styles of painting. Oil paints, acyrlic paints, pastels and water colors will be used, one each at the four different sessions in order to familiarize the participants about the qualities of each of these mediums.
Course information:
Time: 2 days, 3 hour session in the mornings and again in the afternoons
painting in the afternoons
Level: beginner to intermediate, individualized instruction is our goal
Participants: minimum 2, maximum 6
Cost: €200, which includes all materials, canvas or paper, paints, etc. (postage and shipping of any finished art work is extra)
In her "Colors and Energies of the Chakras" course, taught in coordination with Jeanette, participants will create non-representational or abstract art pieces on large canvases. On day one, only the colors red (root chakra) and orange (sacral chakra), may be used. On day two, following an introduction to yellow (solar plexus chakra) and green (heart chakra), the four colors of the previous lessons may be incorporated into the painting.
While Jeanette accompanies participants on the yoga road, Birgit will assist them in technically bringing their energy and images to the canvas in a way that reflects their newly-released creativity!
